Favang Kut will be celebrated from October 13-15, 2020 in the home turf of Tipaimukh MLA Dr. Chaltonlien Amo at Patpuihmun.
‘Patpuihmun Favang Kut’ celebration will be jointly organised by HYA Patpuihmun Branch and Patpuihmun Youth Development Club (PYDC), according to the statement issued by HYA Patpuihmun Branch secretary.
HYA said Favang Kut has been celebrated in the village since 1984. It is celebration time the villagers who are usually busy with their field works. This is the time when villagers harvest “buṭei” (paddy) and “bupui” (another variety of paddy) is at their best state before being harvested. Villagers usually choose October as their annual leisure time as they are less occupied in the fields.
Various celebration items will also be organised during the 3-day celebration programme.
Dr. Chaltonlien Amo, MLA (Chairman PAC) will grace the celebration as “KUT PA”, Mr. Lalhossan (MDC Vangai) as Chief Guest, Mr. Ngursangkhûm as guest of honour (Vice President Tipaimukh Youth Congress & President Vangai Youth Congress) & Mr Phirremthang Songate (President, HNU Block No 3) as Functional President respectively.
