Rev. Rohminglien Pakhuongte has been elected to lead the apex body of Hmar churches – Hmar Christian Leaders’ Forum (HCLF) – for the year 2020-23.
The general body meeting and election for the new term was held on October 10 at ICI Guest House, Sielmat. Various issues ranging from Churches to society was also considered in the meeting.
Outgoing Chariman Rev. Dr. JL Songate will assist the new Chairman as its Vice Chairman, Rev. Dr. Vanlalnghakthang as Secretary, Rev. Lalsandam Songate as Asst. Secretary, Rev. Lalkhamlien as Finance Secretary and Rev. Vanlalhlun Traite as its Treasurer. New auditors for the forum namely – Elder R Tawna Khawbung and Elder Er Lalthanzam Amo respetctively.
The meeting also elected new leaders of the HCLF – Puitling Sunday School Board for the term 2020-2023. Rev. Huolthangsei Ṭhiek is elected as the new Chairman of PSSB, Rev. Lungawiruol Khawbung as Secretary, Rev. Joseph Lalneilien Khawbung as Finance Secretary and Rev. H.B. Hluothang as Treasurer for the new term of PSSB.
