7 new COVID-19 cases in Churachandpur District
RAT put on hold due to financial shortfall
Churachandpur district recorded 7 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 946. Of the new infections, 3 are returnees from other states, 2 from military personnel and another 2 from local without any travel history.
Altogether, 751 have recovered from the dreaded virus with 190 active cases in the district.
Meanwhile, paid and free Rapid Antigen Test in the district have been put on hold due to pandemic fund shortfall.
CCPur CMO in-charge Dr. T. Nengkhanmang said that since the fund released by the state government for the pandemic is inadequate, Emergency Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) for free and paid have been put on hold until further notice or the state government release pandemic funds whichever is earlier.
Accordingly, contact tracing and Covid-19 tests of close contact positive cases is also put on hold for the time being.
