In the last 24 hours, Churachandpur district record another 8 new Coronavirus infections, taking its tally to 853, Covid-19 Control Room (Manipur) data showed late in the evening.
During the 24 hour period, no new Covid fatality is reported in the district. Meanwhile, 674 Covid patients have recovered from the virus, accordingly, the recovery rate now stands at 79.01 per cent.
The cumulative number of active Coronavirus cases in the district is 176.
Among the new infections, 2 are returnees from other states, while 6 are from the local population with no travel history. With the new infections, 120 locals without travel history are now infected with the virus.
Presently, there are 160 people under observation at various Covid Care Centre in the District excluding District Hospital.
