In the last 24 hours, Churachandpur district reported 23 new Covid-19 infections, taking the tally to 883. Of these new infections only 2 are returnees from other state, 1 from para military personnel, and the rest from locals without any travel history.
10 from the local infections are said to be from Bungmual village, 7 from Lailam village and the other 3 are from Leimata, SA Road & Dorcas village respectively.
Churachandpur DC have issued containment orders in these particular places.
783 from the 883 positive cases have recovered from the virus, taking the cumulative active Coronavirus case in the district to 164.
Presently, there are 135 people under obersavation at various Covid Care Centre located inside the district excluding District Hospital.
Manipur state altogether reported 96 new Covid infections in the last 24 hours, total case surges to 9376, with active cases declining to 2206. The recovery rate in the state is 75.81 per cent.
