Police frisking visitors of Khuga Dam and resorts
CCPur: With the rise in drowning incidents at Khuga Dam, Churachandpur Police officials have started frisking visitors.
The police on January 19 (Sunday) seized a large quantity of alcohol from visitors while conducting routine checks along Sinzawl Road.
As many as 42 litres of local wine, 9 quarter bottles of whiskey, 4 half bottles 4, 6 full bottles and 32 Kingfisher beer cans were seized from the group.
According to reports, as drowning at Khuga Dam is on the rise, resorts in and around the area will now implement new guidelines. Swimmers will now have to use life jackets when swimming or boating in the water body.
